The last day of this month i.e. Purnima Tithi is known as Kartik Purnima. This year, Kartik Purnima will be celebrated on 30 November, Monday. It is said that on this day, worshiping Lord Vishnu with true mind fulfills desires. On the special day of Kartik Purnima special importance of chanting, penance and charity is said.
On the day of Kartik Purnima, it is very auspicious to do lamp donation and deep darshan in temples. It is believed that Gauri-Mahadev is worshiped along with Vishnu of the Lord of Kartik Purnima. Of the 12 full moon years of the year, Kartik, Magha and Vaishakh Purnima are considered to be especially virtuous.
